Dear Ms. Smale,

Thank you for writing back.  I think that we will have to agree to disagree.
It is unfortunate though, that you will not be publishing my piece.  In
fact, I have seen precious few editorials from the Macedonian side
published, if any?  Why is that???

I suppose that devoting page upon page of opinion regarding a farce such as
that of Condit/Levy is more justified anyway.

Sincerely,

Filip

Dear Mr. Oginar:

Thank you for your observations. It is a little puzzling to me that you
conclude that we ignored the explosion that destroyed a prized religious
site when we ran a photograph of this prominently on Page Three, together
with an article explaining its importance. If you look at the space devoted
to this and to the story on the same page about NATO dispatching a force to
Macedonia, I think you must conclude that they are given virtually equal
weight.

Sincerely,
Alison Smale, Assistant Foreign Editor
